WILMINGTON, Del. -- The IUP women's tennis team extended their win streak to five after their 7-0 sweep over Goldey-Beacom at the Delcastle Tennis Center Saturday afternoon.
This is the fourth consecutive 7-0 sweep for the Hawks.Â
Dani Ramos and
Ming Deewajee battled for a 7-5 win at No. 1 doubles. Both No. 2 and No. 3 doubles won with a score of 6-2.
No. 1 singles was Lieselotte Hartlohner who won in three sets with scores of 6-1, 3-6, and 6-3. Deewajee gave up just one set at No. 2 singles with scores of 6-1, 6-0. No. 3 singles was Ramos and won with scores of 6-1, 6-4.
Hannah Beitat won both sets with scores of 6-2 at No. 4 singles.
Asel Calbay won at No. 5 singles with scores of 6-3, 6-1. While
Annemiek Sterk rounded out singles action in the No. 6 spot with scores of 3-6, 6-2, and 10-8 in the tiebreak.Â
