INDIANA, Pa. -- IUP women's lacrosse came up short against Slippery Rock on their senior day, falling 15-7.

Brenna Whiteside opened the scoring for IUP with the team's first goal of the game at the 13:41 mark, assisted by Kathryn Burke. Slippery Rock responded with a four-goal run before IUP closed the gap to 4-3 with goals from Macenzie Haragos at 2:34 and Emme Mass just a minute later. Slippery Rock added one more goal on a free-position attempt to end the first quarter.

The Rock extended their lead in the second quarter with three additional goals, while IUP found the back of the net once more with just eight seconds remaining in the half to make it 8-4.

Mass started the scoring in the third quarter with a goal at 12:28, but Slippery Rock answered with a six-goal run stretching into the fourth. Alexi Crosby broke the streak with a free-position goal at 7:09, and Mass added one final tally at 5:49 off a feed from Leah Moyer.
