INDIANA, Pa. -- The IUP women's lacrosse fell just short to Lock Haven, 13-12, Wednesday afternoon at Miller Stadium.

IUP's six second-quarter goals came from six different players, with two scored off free position shots.
In the third quarter, Lock Haven regained the lead with a goal near the 10-minute mark, but Emme Mass quickly responded for IUP to even the score at 8-8. After another Lock Haven goal, Burke and Alexi Crosby found the net for IUP, giving the Hawks a 10-9 advantage.
The Bald Eagles opened the fourth quarter with three straight goals before Burke's final goal at 7:08 put IUP back within one, 12-11. Julia Steere added a final goal with just eight seconds remaining, but the Hawks came up just short, falling to Lock Haven 13-12.
