INDIANA, Pa. -- The IUP women's tennis team defeated No. 7 Bloomsburg in the first round of the DII NCAA Atlantic Regional on Monday morning.
IUP is now 17-6 overall and is on a 12-match winning streak.
IUP began the day winning the doubles point. Both No. 1 and No. 3 doubles won with scores of 6-2, while No. 2 doubles won with a sweep, 6-0.
In singles action, No.1, 2, and 4 each won to secure the victory for IUP. Lieselotte Hartlohner at No. 1 singles won with set scores of 6-0, 6-1.
Ming Deewajee at No. 2 singles won 6-3, 6-1, and
Asel Calbay at No. 5 singles clinched the match with her 6-2, 6-4 victory.
