Men's Golf Sits Upon PSAC Throne With Top Team QPA

INDIANA, Pa – The Crimson Hawks men's golf team picked up yet another award for the 2024-25 academic year. Indiana University of Pennsylvania's (IUP) 3.522 Team QPA for the academic year ranks it as the best in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).

The Hawks were the only men's golf team in the conference to record a team GPA of over 3.5. The Crimson Hawk golfers earned the fourth-highest team GPA of all the IUP athletic teams.

IUP was one of four PSAC institutions to have over 55 percent of its student-athletes named as scholar-athletes, as 57 percent of the Crimson Hawk student-athletes qualified. Overall, the department earned a 3.354 institutional QPA with 268 scholar-athletes. That is up from 243 in the 2023-24 academic year, representing 54 percent of IUP student-athletes. The most total number of scholar athletes since the 2021-22 academic year.
 
The conference's Institutional Average QPA came in at 3.338, and IUP ranked sixth out of 17 PSAC departments.
