LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – After a dramatic run to the NCAA Tournament in 2024, the first in 15 years, the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) Women's Soccer team is looking to duplicate their success and more in 2025 under new Head Coach Davis Fox. The Crimson Hawks were voted as the third best team in the PSAC West going into the 2025 preseason, as voted on by the PSAC coaches and released by the conference on Tuesday.
IUP was ranked behind Gannon and Slippery Rock in the standings. Gannon received seven of the eight first-place votes while The Rock also received one.
The Hawks return an All-Region player in
Emma Hays, as well as two more All-PSAC players in
Emily Mannion and
Adi Myers. Hays, a midfielder for IUP, is going into her junior season, started 18 games for the Crimson Hawks in 2024. Mannion, Hays' fellow midfielder, scored four goals for IUP last season on 18 shots, half of which were on goal. Mannion started 17 of the 18 games she played in. Myers, yet another midfielder, is the last of the All-PSAC players returning for the Hawks this season. She tallied six points on two goals and two assists on the season, making 11 starts.
IUP will open their schedule with two home matches right off the get-go, starting September 4 against West Liberty. Kickoff of that game will be at 2 PM at the South Campus Field. That is followed by a match against Findlay on Sept. 6 in Indiana.
