Volleyball Ends Walsh Tournament With Four-Set Victory

NORTH CANTON, Ohio – The IUP Crimson Hawk Volleyball team took on Walsh in the second game of the team's tournament on Saturday. After dropping the first set, IUP took the next three, winning their fifth match of the season.

It was much of the same for the Hawks, as Jessica Neiman led the team with 16 kills, and last night's kills leader, Delaney Concannon, also had double-digit kills with 11 herself. Concannon led the team with a game-high six service aces and had ten digs.

Ellie Rauch recorded her game-high in assists, eclipsing the 40 mark for the first time this season, recording 42 in the four-set match. Overall, IUP had 48 assists as a team. Rauch and Brooke Kessler had 12 digs each.

IUP had 15 aces in the match, a match-high through the Hawks' first seven matches. Four different Hawks had multiple service aces.

The Crimson Hawks will make their KCAC debut this weekend, hosting the Crimson Hawk Classic on Friday and Saturday. The matches will begin at 11 am on Friday with IUP taking on Chestnut Hill in the KCAC.
