CLARION, Pa. — Another day, another multi-goal performance by IUP junior midfielder Elle Smith.
Smith raised her season goal total to eight after netting two goals for the third consecutive game, leading the Crimson Hawks to their fourth win of the season while remaining unbeaten.
It marked the fourth clean sheet in five games for IUP, which has conceded just one goal this season while outscoring opponents 20-1.
Junior forward Emily Lattea added her second goal of the season, and goalkeeper Sarah Gatz made four saves, raising her save percentage to .900. Gatz has allowed just one goal on nine shots faced this year.
Avery Clanton and Emma Hayes each recorded an assist in the win.
IUP returns to South Campus Field on Wednesday to face Pitt-Johnstown. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
