YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Indiana University of Pennsylvania's women's tennis team dropped its first match of the spring semester, falling 5-2 to Youngstown State on Saturday. The Penguins won two of three doubles matches and four of six singles matches.
Annemiek Sterk and Maria Moskaltsova captured the No. 1 doubles match, while junior Hanna Beitat and freshman Elina Mondani earned victories in singles at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
The Crimson Hawks traveled to Youngstown after their Sunday match was postponed due to inclement weather. IUP's next matches are scheduled for Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 in North Canton, Ohio, against Ashland and Walsh.
