CLARION, Pa. — The IUP men's and women's diving teams competed Friday at the Dave Hrovat Invitational at Tippin Natatorium.
Four Crimson Hawk divers took part in the meet, including Bailey Steele on the women's side. Steele competed in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events, while three IUP men's divers also represented the program.
Steele placed second in the 3-meter event, which featured six dives and three total entries, scoring 12.10 points. She later finished seventh in the 1-meter competition with 11 dives, totaling 21.10 points.
On the men's side, Jeremiah Laslavic, Christopher Hill and Ethan Riggle all competed. Hill totaled 23.10 points in the 1-meter championship with 11 dives. Laslavic followed closely with 23.40 points, while Riggle recorded a score of 20.40.
In the 3-meter event with six dives, Hill finished with 12.70 points and Riggle scored 11.80. Laslavic posted the top Crimson Hawk score of the day in the 3-meter event with 11 dives, totaling 25.90 points.
The Crimson Hawk divers will join the swim team Saturday for the senior recognition and fan appreciation meet at Pidgeon Natatorium. The meet is scheduled to begin at noon.
