GREENSBURG, Pa. — The Indiana University of Pennsylvania women's basketball team used a balanced offensive effort to secure an 86-76 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference victory over Seton Hill on Saturday afternoon at the McKenna Center.
IUP built an early advantage and maintained control throughout, holding a 19-15 lead after the first quarter and fending off multiple Seton Hill pushes down the stretch.
Ellie Wilkerson led the Crimson Hawks with 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting, including three 3-pointers, while adding four rebounds and three assists. Marin Miller followed with 16 points on 5-of-7 shooting, and Nyshae' Weaver recorded a double-double with 15 points and a team-high 11 rebounds. Teresa Maggio chipped in 13 points to round out four IUP players in double figures.
Seton Hill was paced by Hallie Cowan, who scored a game-high 23 points. Abby Mankins and Helene Cowan each added 15 points, while Mia Kalich finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
IUP shot 53.4% from the field and limited Seton Hill to 38.2% shooting. The Crimson Hawks also held a 41-32 rebounding advantage and forced key turnovers in the fourth quarter to help preserve the lead.
The Crrimson Hawks will return to the court on February 7 at Edinboro.
