EDINBORO, Pa. — Indiana (Pa.) rallied from an early deficit to defeat Edinboro 71-65 on Saturday afternoon in PSAC women's basketball action.
The Crimson Hawks trailed 23-15 after the first quarter but answered with a 22-12 second-quarter surge to take momentum into halftime. IUP maintained control down the stretch with a strong fourth quarter to secure the road victory.
Teresa Maggio led IUP with 16 points, hitting four 3-pointers on 6-of-7 shooting. Marin Miller added 15 points with three 3-pointers, while Nyshae' Weaver contributed 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds. Ellie Wilkerson chipped in 11 points.
Indiana shot just over 51% from the field and 50% from beyond the arc while converting 20 of 25 free throws. The Crimson Hawks also forced turnovers that translated into key scoring opportunities.
Ava Haddad paced Edinboro with 22 points, while Hope Garrity and Rachael Manfredo added 13 points each.
With the win, IUP stays in the top position in the West, holding the head-to-head tiebreaker over Gannon.
