No. 6 IUP Rallies Past Pitt-Johnstown, Keeps Momentum Rolling

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — No. 6 Indiana (Pa.) bounced back from an early deficit to defeat Pitt-Johnstown 75-60 on Wednesday night, continuing its strong run through Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference women's basketball play.

After trailing 24-9 at the end of the first quarter, the Crimson Hawks settled in offensively and tightened up defensively, outscoring the Mountain Cats 66-36 over the final three quarters to secure the road victory.

Teresa Maggio led the way with 20 points on efficient shooting while adding seven rebounds. Nyshae' Weaver recorded a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Ellie Wilkerson and Belle Bosch each contributed 11 points to give IUP balanced scoring.

Indiana shot 51% from the field and capitalized at the free-throw line, converting 19 of 21 attempts. Defensive pressure helped shift momentum as the Crimson Hawks forced key turnovers and controlled the tempo in the second half.

The win keeps IUP firmly near the top of the PSAC standings as the Crimson Hawks continue to build momentum heading deeper into conference play.
