Five IUP football players named academic all-district

INDIANA, Pa. — The Crimson Hawks football team had five players earn College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors, as announced Tuesday.

Dinari Clacks, Parker Gregg, Matthew Nelson, Randy Okungu and Connor Shamany were recognized after posting a minimum 3.5 GPA and competing in at least 70% of IUP's games during the season.

Okungu and Shamany added the academic honor to All-PSAC recognition they received earlier in the fall. The five players combined to appear in 55 games during the 2025 season, which saw the Crimson Hawks return to the NCAA regional playoffs and hosted Assumption.

IUP finished as co-champions of the PSAC West with a 5-1 conference record before falling to Kutztown in the PSAC Championship Game.
