INDIANA, Pa. — Dallis Dillard scored 31 points to lead Indiana University of Pennsylvania to an 88-79 victory over Slippery Rock University on Saturday at the Kovalchick Complex.
The Crimson Hawks controlled much of the game, building a halftime lead and maintaining separation throughout the second half. IUP improved its standing in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference race with the win.
Dillard led all scorers with 31 points, attacking the basket consistently and converting at the free-throw line. Bautista Rodriguez added 15 points off the bench, while Kymani Merraro contributed 13 points to give IUP balanced offensive production.
Indiana held a halftime advantage and answered every Slippery Rock push after the break, using efficient shooting and strong foul shooting to keep control.
Slippery Rock was led by Kerwin Prince, who finished with 23 points, while Dame Givner added 18 points and 11 rebounds.
IUP also benefited from a rebounding edge and solid bench production, key factors as the Crimson Hawks continue their push toward postseason positioning.
