INDIANA, Pa. — Indiana University of Pennsylvania used a strong second half Wednesday night to defeat Seton Hill University 85-69 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference women's basketball action.
The Crimson Hawks overcame an early deficit and seized control before halftime, then broke the game open in the third quarter with a decisive scoring run that created separation the rest of the way.
Teresa Maggio led IUP with 20 points. Nyshae' Weaver added 18 points and a team-high 15 rebounds, while Ellie Wilkerson scored 12 points. Marin Miller contributed 10 as IUP placed four players in double figures.
IUP controlled the glass throughout the night and capitalized at the free-throw line, helping offset a slow offensive start and allowing the Hawks to gradually extend the margin.
Hallie Cowan paced Seton Hill with a game-high 28 points, while Shaye Bailey added 12 points off the bench.
The victory keeps IUP firmly positioned near the top of the conference standings as the regular season enters its final stretch.
