Crittenden Leads IUP with Three PSAC Titles on Day Two

York, Pa — It was a championship-caliber day for the Indiana University of Pennsylvania swim team as the Crimson Hawks captured three titles at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships, highlighted by a dominant performance from Gem Crittenden.

Crittenden claimed individual conference crowns in the 100 butterfly and the 400 individual medley, securing two NCAA qualifying standards in the process. She later helped the Crimson Hawks defend their 400 medley relay title for the second consecutive season, giving her three gold medals on the day.

In addition to Crittenden's NCAA marks, Kasha Stokes earned an NCAA standard in the 100 backstroke while leading off the championship-winning medley relay, setting the tone for the relay squad's victory.

The women's 200 freestyle relay added another top-eight finish for IUP. On the men's side, Alexander Roth recorded a top-eight performance in the 400 individual medley, and the men's 200 freestyle relay team also placed among the top eight to contribute valuable team points.

With momentum building, the Crimson Hawks return to the pool Friday for day three of four. Morning preliminaries are scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. as IUP continues its push for additional podium finishes and NCAA qualifications.
