Stokes Earns All-American Honors with Sixth-Place Finish in 100 Backstroke at NCAA Championships

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – IUP Crimson Hawks women's swimming and diving junior Kasha Stokes became the program's first All-American since Paige Mikesell in 2022 after finishing sixth in the 100 backstroke at the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday.

Stokes touched the wall in 54.94, improving on her prelims time by a few tenths of a second. Entering the finals ranked No. 7 nationally in Division II, she matched her qualifying form to secure the top-six finish and All-American honors.

Stokes will conclude her championships Saturday when she competes in the 200 backstroke. She enters that event ranked ninth nationally.
