LEWISBURG, Pa. — Thirty IUP student-athletes competed in 14 events Saturday as the Crimson Hawks returned to Bucknell for Day 2 of the Bison Outdoor Classic, marking their busiest day of the outdoor season.
Several standout performances highlighted the meet, led by sprinter Bryna Kelly, who recorded a personal-best time of 14.38 seconds in the women's 100-meter hurdles. The mark currently stands as the top qualifying time for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships.
Kelly was joined by teammate Kayla Rayne Quinones, who also posted a top-10 PSAC qualifying time, finishing in 14.85 seconds to rank eighth in the conference this season.
In the sprints, Bella Brozeski recorded a time of 1:03.54 in the 400-meter hurdles, placing her fifth in the PSAC and among the top 15 performers at the meet.
In field events, Kaylla Mansally delivered her best throw of the season in the discus, reaching 41.27 meters — just shy of a national qualifying mark and ranking fourth in the PSAC.
Jahnaya Wimberly added a strong performance in the triple jump, recording a mark of 11.30 meters to rank ninth in the conference.
On the men's side, Matthew Cusatis posted a season-best mark of 14.06 meters in the triple jump, a PSAC qualifying distance that places him eighth in the conference. In the 110-meter hurdles, Zach DeBose finished second in his heat with a time of 14.38 seconds.
IUP will return to action at Shippensburg for a midweek meet ahead of the PSAC Outdoor Championships later this month.
