NEW ORLEANS, La. – Matthew Cusatis earned all-region recognition from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association last week for his performance in the triple jump.
The sophomore from the IUP Crimson Hawks track and field received the honor after recording the top mark in the region in the triple jump at 14.88 meters.
Cusatis' best jump came at the Doug Raymond Invitational hosted by Kent State University earlier this spring.
During the indoor season, Cusatis placed first in two events and finished second in another while also competing in the long jump for IUP.
He also competed at the PSAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, finishing eighth overall, and will now look to qualify for nationals during the outdoor season.
