LEWISBURG, Pa. — The IUP track and field team turned in another strong day of competition, highlighted by multiple Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying performances.
Sterlene Scott led the way on the women's side, winning the 60-meter dash in 7.75 seconds. The mark currently ranks third in the PSAC during the indoor season and was just 0.05 seconds off her IUP best of 7.70. Emma Laughlin also qualified for the 60-meter final, posting a personal-best time of 8.06.
Nataiah Robertson continued her strong form following last week's meet at Youngstown State, finishing fifth in the long jump among 25 competitors. Robertson recorded a jump of 5.36 meters.
On the men's side, Gabriel Pacyna earned a PSAC qualifying time in the 800 meters, placing sixth with a time of 1:58.56. Matthew Cusatis claimed the men's long jump title and secured a PSAC qualifying mark with a leap of 6.91 meters, edging Carnegie Mellon's Morgan Johnson by one-hundredth of a meter.
