SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — The IUP track and field teams turned in several strong performances across the men's and women's events at the 2026 Paul Kaiser Classic, highlighted by a first-place finish from Matthew Cuatis in the men's triple jump.
Cuatis won the event with a leap of 14.17 meters, edging teammate Kamal Curry, who placed second at 14.09 meters. Evan Loro added a fifth-place finish for the Crimson Hawks with a mark of 13.22 meters.
In the men's 100 meters, Seth Stouffer won his heat with a time of 11.39 seconds.
Ian Rauber paced IUP in the men's 1,500 meters, winning his heat in 4 minutes, 5.30 seconds and finishing ninth overall. Steven Janke also claimed a heat victory in the event, crossing in 4:27.60.
The Crimson Hawks also found success in the men's pole vault, where Ashton Botzan cleared 4.10 meters to finish third. Quintin Robinson followed closely with a clearance of 3.95 meters to place fourth.
On the women's side, Emma Laughlin led IUP in the 100 meters, finishing third in the finals with a time of 12.68 after posting a 12.72 in the preliminaries. Sterlene Scott won her preliminary heat in 12.82.
Bella Brozeski placed fifth in the women's 100-meter hurdles finals with a time of 15.75.
In the women's 400-meter hurdles, Nicole Seraphin won her heat with a time of 1:12.75.
IUP also posted solid results in the women's long jump, where Hannah Yeykal placed third with a mark of 5.09 meters, while Maura Penrod finished sixth at 5.03 meters.
