IUP Sends 30 to PSAC Outdoor Championships

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — IUP track and field will send 30 participants to the PSAC Outdoor Championships, hosted by Shippensburg University, from Thursday through Saturday.

The Hawks enter the meet with plenty of potential and even more excitement, with five athletes ranked in the top five of their respective events in the conference. Renee Simmonds, Kaylla Mansally and Bella Brozeski are all among the top contenders in their events.

Sterlene Scott has been a standout in the 100-meter dash and ranks No. 3 in the PSAC with a season-best time of 12.12 seconds. Bryna Kelly is looking to bring home another medal after winning the 100-meter hurdles at the indoor championships. She also enters the outdoor championships ranked No. 1 in the event, holding a two-second advantage over the next competitor.

For the men, Matthew Cusatis, Evan Loro and Kamal Curry will compete in the triple jump. Steve Combary will compete in three events, while several others will take part in multiple events.
