BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Indiana University of Pennsylvania track and field teams will compete this weekend at the PSAC Indoor Championships, hosted by Lehigh University. The meet marks the first conference championship for first-year director of track and field Patrick Gildea.
The Crimson Hawks follow IUP's swim teams, which competed at their conference championships last week, as the winter postseason continues.
Matthew Cusatis leads IUP's field competitors entering the weekend. Cusatis ranks No. 27 nationally in Division II and No. 1 in the Atlantic Region in the triple jump. The 2025 PSAC triple jump champion and all-region performer is scheduled to compete in both the triple jump and long jump.
Senior Renee Simmonds will provide versatility for the Crimson Hawks, competing in the pentathlon, 60-meter hurdles, shot put and 4x400-meter relay. Simmonds ranks seventh in the Atlantic Region and fourth in the PSAC in the pentathlon this season.
Bryna Kelly and Sterlene Scott headline the track events for IUP. Kelly was the runner-up in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2025 PSAC Outdoor Championships and finished fifth during the 2025 indoor season. She currently ranks ninth in the Atlantic Region and second in the PSAC.
Scott will compete in the 60 meters, 200 meters and 4x400-meter relay. She enters the championships ranked third in the PSAC in the 60 meters and eighth in the event in the Atlantic Region.
IUP will send 27 athletes to the PSAC Indoor Championships, which will be held Saturday and Sunday.
