Wilt, Scott Qualify as IUP Wraps Up Regular Season at Penn State Tune-Up

University Park, Pennsylvania — The Indiana University of Pennsylvania track and field teams wrapped up the regular season Friday at the Penn State Tune-Up, making final adjustments ahead of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Indoor Championships.

Pole vaulter Jenna Wilt delivered the highlight of the day, clearing a collegiate-best 3.45 meters. The mark moves her to No. 10 in the PSAC rankings and secures her spot at the conference meet.

Sprinter Sterlene Scott also qualified for the PSAC Championships with a collegiate-best 25.70 in the 200 meters, finishing among the top six. The women's 4x400-meter relay posted its fastest time of the season, winning its heat in 4:05.2 to carry additional momentum into the postseason.

In the field events, junior Seasia Lovell earned an automatic qualifier in the high jump with a clearance of 1.60 meters in the finals.

On the men's side, sophomore Nathan Kociela continued his strong indoor season with a career-best 8:49.74 in the 3,000 meters, placing him among the top 20 in the conference. Fellow sophomore Matthew Cusatis captured the men's triple jump title to round out the day's top performances.

The Crimson Hawks now turn their attention to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where they will compete in the PSAC Indoor Championships on Saturday, Feb. 28.
