INDIANA, Pa. — IUP and Lock Haven entered Wednesday's game in a tight race for third place in the PSAC West, but the Crimson Hawks moved ahead with a 13-10 win at George P. Miller Stadium.
Junior Julia Steere led IUP with six goals, while senior Macenzie Haragos added four.
Lock Haven led 4-3 after the first quarter, but IUP outscored the Bald Eagles 10-6 over the final three quarters. The Crimson Hawks used a five-goal second quarter to take control and added four goals in the fourth.
Lock Haven cut the deficit to one late in the fourth quarter, but IUP responded with three straight goals — two by Steere and one by Haragos — to seal the win.
Sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Legrand earned the win, making six saves.
IUP will close the regular season Saturday against Edinboro. Opening draw is set for noon.
