EDINBORO, Pa. — The IUP women's lacrosse team clinched the No. 3 seed in the PSAC West and a spot in the conference tournament with an 18-4 win over Edinboro on Saturday.
The postseason berth marks IUP's 11th PSAC tournament appearance in program history and its first since spring 2023.
The Crimson Hawks opened with eight goals in the first quarter and added five more in the second for a 13-1 halftime lead.
Macenzie Haragos and Julia Steere each scored three goals, with the duo combining for four of IUP's first-quarter scores. Leah Moyer led the Crimson Hawks with four goals, including two in the second quarter.
Mia Martorano and Maggie Boyle each added two goals. Haragos also recorded three assists for a six-point game, while Lauren Riggs led IUP with four assists.
Averie Moul led the way on the ground with six ground balls and seven draw controls. Senior Devon Nee caused three turnovers.
Lauren LeGrand earned the win in goal with three saves. Mia Courtalis and Grace Mosley also saw time in net.
IUP will travel to West Chester on Tuesday, April 28, to face the Golden Rams, the No. 2 seed from the East, in the PSAC quarterfinals.
