IUP Softball Announces Fall Youth and Prospect Camps

INDIANA, Pa. – Following a historic 2026 season that saw IUP softball tie the program record with 38 victories and advance to the PSAC semifinals, head coach Shawna Bellaud and the Crimson Hawks will host two camps this fall at Ruth Podbielski Field on South Campus.

The program will offer a Youth Camp for girls entering grades 3-7 and a Prospect Camp for players in grades 8-12.

The Youth Camp is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 20, from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Participants will receive hands-on instruction from the IUP coaching staff and student-athletes, with equal emphasis placed on offensive and defensive fundamentals. The cost of the camp is $85.

Players in grades 8-12 will have the opportunity to showcase their abilities during the Prospect Camp on Sunday, Sept. 13. Running from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the camp costs $125 and will feature skill instruction, performance testing and a scrimmage. Players will have metrics recorded, including exit velocity, pitch speed and pop times, while also receiving instruction from the Crimson Hawks coaching staff.

Both camps will take place at Ruth Podbielski Field, home of IUP softball.

For young players looking to develop their skills or aspiring student-athletes hoping to compete at the collegiate level, the camps provide an opportunity to learn from one of the premier programs in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. After tying the school record for wins and making a run to the conference semifinals in 2026, the Crimson Hawks will look to build on that success while helping the next generation of players sharpen their skills.
