LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – A total of 271 IUP student-athletes were named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Scholar-Athletes for the 2025-26 academic year, the conference announced Wednesday.
Across the conference, 4,135 student-athletes earned Scholar-Athlete recognition by posting a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.25 at the conclusion of the academic year.
IUP's 271 honorees represent 58 percent of the department's 462 student-athletes, surpassing the conference average of 56 percent. The Crimson Hawks were one of 15 PSAC institutions with at least 170 Scholar-Athletes.
Conference-wide, 1,798 men and 2,337 women received the distinction out of 7,320 student-athletes competing across the PSAC. The 2025-26 academic year also marked the 10th consecutive year that at least 40 percent of the conference's student-athletes earned Scholar-Athlete honors.
The annual award recognizes student-athletes who achieve academic success while competing at the NCAA Division II level. The 271 Crimson Hawks honored represented every varsity sport sponsored by IUP, highlighting the department's continued commitment to excellence both in competition and in the classroom.
