INDIANA, Pa. – Following a dominant weekend at home, the undefeated IUP field hockey team climbed two spots to No. 8 in the latest NFHCA Division II Coaches Poll.

The Crimson Hawks, who entered the rankings at No. 10 last week, improved to 4-0 after posting consecutive shutouts against D'Youville and Coker. IUP has outscored its opponents 20-1 through the first four matches of the season.

IUP was dominant on both ends of the field over the weekend, outscoring D'Youville and Coker by a combined 13-0 margin. The Crimson Hawks held a 56-4 advantage in shots across the two matches, putting 49 attempts on goal.

The Crimson Hawks opened the weekend with an 8-0 victory over D'Youville before shutting out Coker, 5-0, without surrendering a shot Sunday.

IUP's two-spot jump was the largest move among teams inside the top 10 this week.

The PSAC continues to dominate the national rankings, occupying eight of the top 10 spots. Slippery Rock and Millersville joined the top 10 this week, while East Stroudsburg moved up one spot.

Shippensburg holds the No. 1 ranking nationally.
