INDIANA, Pa. – Another victory brought another move up the national rankings for IUP football, as the undefeated Crimson Hawks climbed to No. 11 in the latest AFCA Division II Coaches Poll released Monday afternoon.

The No. 11 ranking is IUP's highest since the 2022 season. The Crimson Hawks also moved up one spot to No. 17 in the latest D2Football.com Top 25.

IUP improved to 3-0 following Saturday's road victory at Shippensburg, completing an undefeated three-game road swing to begin the season. The Crimson Hawks have steadily climbed the national rankings since opening the year at No. 25 in the AFCA preseason poll.

IUP remains one of three PSAC programs ranked nationally in both major polls, joining Kutztown and PSAC West rival Slippery Rock.

Kutztown remains the highest-ranked PSAC program, holding steady at No. 3 in the AFCA Coaches Poll and No. 4 in the D2Football.com rankings.

Slippery Rock sits one spot ahead of IUP at No. 10 in the AFCA poll. The Rock is No. 11 in the D2Football.com rankings, six spots ahead of the Crimson Hawks.

The top nine teams in the AFCA Coaches Poll remained unchanged this week, with Slippery Rock and IUP occupying the next two spots at No. 10 and No. 11, respectively.

Shepherd also received votes in the AFCA poll, making the Rams the only additional PSAC program to receive recognition this week.

IUP returns to Indiana for the first time this season Saturday, Sept. 26, hosting Seton Hill in its 2026 home opener at George P. Miller Stadium.
