The ninth annual Coal Bowl presented by the Pennsylvania Coal Alliance will take place Saturday, Oct. 7 when the IUP Crimson Hawks host their rival California (Pa.) Vulcans at George P. Miller Stadium in Indiana, Pa. This year's game will have some added significance, as IUP will celebrated Homecoming that weekend. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.

IUP dropped a heart-breaker a season ago, falling to the Vulcans 31-28 at Adamson Stadium in California. Quarterback Lenny Williams, Jr. passed for 162 yards and a touchdown, adding 123 yards and two more scores on the ground before he went down with an injury in the fourth quarter.
