Lindsay Stamp is the 2014-15 IUP Women's Athlete of the Year. The senior guard ended one of the finest seasons in program history as the very first IUP women's basketball player to earn first team All-American honors by Daktronics. The Atlantic Region and PSAC West Player of the Year, Stamp led the PSAC with 19.6 points per game and was IUP's leader with 8.3 rebounds per contest.
One of the most dominant scorers in the nation, Stamp scored in double-figures 27 times in 29 games, netting 20-or-more points on 15 occasions, including a season-high 32 against Pitt-Johnstown. She had 10 double-doubles on the year, including two in back-to-back games in the PSAC tournament. The guard hit the 1,000-point milestone on Nov. 18 against Ohio Valley and finished with 567 points on the season, just the third player in school history to break the 500-point plateau, falling just 45 points shy of the program's single season record.
The five-time PSAC West Athlete of the Week helped IUP to one of the best seasons in program history with a 25-4 overall record and a berth in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championships.
