Women's basketball senior Leslie Stapleton was named one of IUP's Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 8. Stapleton was the Crimson Hawks leading scorer in IUP's two exhibition games at Maryland and Pitt last week. Against the sixth-ranked Terrapins, the guard scored 14 points on 4-of-7 shooting, while also grabbing a team-high five rebounds in 27 minutes of action.
She followed that up with a game-high 19 points on Sunday in Pittsburgh, going 7-of-13 from the field. For the week, she shot 55 percent (11-of-20) from the field, including 5-of-11 from three-point range.
