Junior men's cross country runner Austin Cooper was named an IUP Athlete of the Week, for the week ending on Sunday, November 6. This is Cooper's second IUP weekly award of the fall. 

Cooper earned an invitation to the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships as he finished ninth overall in this past weekend's Atlantic Region Championships in Slippery Rock. Being named All-Region with his finish, he crossed the line with a time of 33:14 on the 10K course. 

This will be Cooper's first NCAA Championship appearance. It will take place in Saint Leo, Florida on November 19.
