Junior outfielder Nate Dickey has been named an IUP Athlete of the Week, which was announced by the school's sports information office on Monday.
Dickey stepped up as a first time starting outfielder, hitting .500 with a .714 slugging percentage to help IUP to a four-game sweep of Clarion. The junior went 7-of-14 with a double and triple, drove in a team-high six runs, and scored four of his own.
He totaled four hits and five RBI in Sunday's doubleheader, including a bases loaded triple to the gap in left center to help the Crimson Hawks comeback to win 8-6.
It's his first career IUP weekly honor.
