Senior guard Anthony Glover, Jr. has been named an IUP Athlete of the Week, which was announced by the sports information office on Monday, Jan. 22.
He helped lead the Crimson Hawks to a 2-0 week with an 89-82 road win over California (Pa.) on Wednesday and a 69-46 win over Clarion at home on Saturday. The helped the surging Crimson Hawks improve to 14-5 overall and a division-leading 10-2 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) record.
Glover averaged a team-best 26.0 points and shot 52.9 percent (18-of-34) from the field last week. He made 9-of-21 from 3-point range and 7-of-8 from the foul line with seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
Glover was the main offensive catalyst in the Crimson Hawks’ 89-point performance at Cal, scoring a game-high 32 on 10-of-15 shooting. He also went 6-of-10 from 3-point range and 6-of-6 at the foul line. It was Glover’s third 30-point effort of the year and the third time he’s hit at least six treys in a game.
This is Glover’s third straight weekly honor and the fourth of his career.
