Shawndale Jones were named IUP Athletes of the Week, announced by the sports information office Monday.
This is the fifth IUP weekly honor for Foster this season and the first for Jones.
Foster was lights out during the Crimson Hawks' Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) tournament run, averaging 26.0 points and 6.7 rebounds while shooting 54.8 percent from the field, 63.6 percent from 3-point range and 25-of-28 from the foul line in three wins.
He scored a career-high 33 points in the 80-63 quarterfinal win over Cal U, going 12-of-17 from the field with five 3-pointers. Foster followed that with 28 points and seven rebounds in the semifinal win over East Stroudsburg, going a perfect 14-of-14 from the foul line. He finished off his week with 17 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals in the title game win over Shippensburg.
Jones was named the PSAC Tournament MVP on the strength of a career performance in the championship game, scoring 24 points on 10-of-14 shooting with six rebounds.
He had a huge second half, scoring 16 straight points for the Hawks from the 12:23 mark to 5:54 left in the game. Jones finished the tournament averaging 13.3 points with a 61.5 field goal percentage.
