Crimson Hawks Fall to Fairmont State

Fairmont, WV – The Crimson Hawks couldn't generate much offense as IUP fell to Fairmont State in three sets in a non-conference volleyball matchup on Tuesday night in West Virginia.

IUP kept it close in the first two sets, falling 25-22 and 25-21 before losing the third 25-13.

Morgan Cerveny (Richfield, OH/Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy) led the Crimson Hawks with six kills while Carissa Miara (Pittsburgh/West Allegheny) had 18 assists and Emily Vaughn (Shippensburg/Shippensburg) had 17 digs. Miara and Beth Sova each had three block assists defensively for IUP.

The Crimson Hawks (9-14) get back on the court this weekend, traveling to play Slippery Rock on Friday night before facing Clarion on Saturday.
