INDIANA, PA - The Crimson Hawks were defeated by No. 2 West Chester 5-1 Saturday at George P. Miller Stadium in Indiana.
The Golden Rams recorded goals in each period scoring in the 12th, 31st, 37th, 52nd and 68th minutes of play. These five scores came from a total of 19 shots recorded by West Chester.
IUP's
Chelsea Wanamaker (Oley, Pa./Oley Valley) put up the first and only point for the Crimson Hawks 15 minutes into the second half. A corner kick by
Paige Klouser (Greencastle, Pa./Greencastle-Antrim) led to a saved shot by
Jess Kida (Oley, Pa./Oley Valley). After Kida's shot, Wanamaker attacked and knocked the ball into the cage.
Throughout the entire 70 minutes of play, the Crimson Hawks only tallied five total shots. In addition to Wanamaker, other IUP players to take a shot at the goal were

Darian Shuker (Reading, Pa./Exeter ), played the full game and saved 10 of West Chester's attempted shots.
This matchup was the first in a trio of games to end IUP's home season. Wednesday, Oct. 22, The Crimson Hawks will play host to Mansfield at George P. Miller Stadium at 4:00 p.m. Their next opponent is Slippery Rock under the lights, Oct. 25, at 7:00 p.m. in Indiana. IUP will then finish their season with three away games at East Stroudsburg, Bloomsburg and Millersville.
