INDIANA, PA - This weekend the IUP track and field team took a break from competition and instead focused their attention on helping out at The Indiana Community Garden Building Day.

Members of the team spent Sunday afternoon at Mack Park working on various tasks. These tasks included adding soil to raised garden beds, distributing mulch around apple trees and helping clean-up the gardens. The fruits and vegetables grown in this garden will go back into the community, as they will be donated to the Indiana Food Bank.

The IUP Athletic Department is dedicated to giving back to the Indiana community, and IUP student athletes strive to make a difference in their neighborhood.
