Soccer Volunteers at Indiana Humane Society

INDIANA, PA - The IUP women's soccer team took some time out of their off-season to help out at the Indiana Humane Society.

The team spent Wednesday, April 23, walking dogs and cats. They also spent some time with the animals that are up for adoption, showing them the love they deserve.

Indiana Humane Society is a non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to preventing cruelty and suffering to all animals, providing a safe place and compassion to the animals and placing animals in permanent, loving homes.

Later this week, the team plans to spend Thursday, May 1, helping with the youth soccer program at the Indiana YMCA. This program helps kids in the development of the fundamental skills of the game.

The team has been working with both the Humane Society and the YMCA for several years. The IUP Athletic Department is dedicated to giving back to the Indiana community, and the IUP student-athletes strive to make a difference in their neighborhood.
