Field Hockey Falls to No. 7 East Stroudsburg 4-0

INDIANA, PA - The Crimson Hawks fall to No. 7 East Stroudsburg 4-0 in Indiana in their fourth game of the season.

IUP played strong defensively holding East Stroudsburg, who averages 25 shots a game, to only 10 total shots.  In their two games played this past weekend, the Crimson Hawks only gave up a total of 19 shots.  This loss drops their record further to 0-4 and increased the Warriors record to 3-2.

Eight shots were put up by IUP, including four shots on goal by Gabriela Feaser (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin), Jess Kida (Oley, Pa./Oley Valley), Haley Fidler (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood) and Casey McGowan (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South).

East Stroudsburg first scored just two and a half minutes into the game.  They got on the board again with 16 minutes left in the half with a goal that was knocked in by the Crimson Hawks.  Despite IUP allowing only three shots in the entire period, they went into the half down 2-0.

The Warriors scored early in the second half, and again in the last ten minutes to secure their 4-0 win.

IUP will fight for their first win of the season when they play host to Lindenwood Sunday at 12:00 p.m. at George P. Miller Stadium.
