INDIANA, PA - The Crimson Hawks fall to No. 7 East Stroudsburg 4-0 in Indiana in their fourth game of the season.
IUP played strong defensively holding East Stroudsburg, who averages 25 shots a game, to only 10 total shots. In their two games played this past weekend, the Crimson Hawks only gave up a total of 19 shots. This loss drops their record further to 0-4 and increased the Warriors record to 3-2.
Eight shots were put up by IUP, including four shots on goal by
Gabriela Feaser (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin),
Jess Kida (Oley, Pa./Oley Valley),
Haley Fidler (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood) and
Casey McGowan (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South).
East Stroudsburg first scored just two and a half minutes into the game. They got on the board again with 16 minutes left in the half with a goal that was knocked in by the Crimson Hawks. Despite IUP allowing only three shots in the entire period, they went into the half down 2-0.
The Warriors scored early in the second half, and again in the last ten minutes to secure their 4-0 win.
IUP will fight for their first win of the season when they play host to Lindenwood Sunday at 12:00 p.m. at George P. Miller Stadium.
