Noll leads Field Hockey to 3-1 victory over Mansfield

INDIANA, Pa. – Sophomore McKenzie Noll (Lewisburg, Pa./Mifflinburg) scored a goal and had an assist to lead the IUP field hockey team to a 3-1 victory over Mansfield Monday afternoon.

Noll scored her second goal of the season 13:58 into the game after a corner play. IUP had 14 corners on the day, while allowing just two for Mansfield.

Junior Ericka Griffith (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) put IUP up, 2-0, when she scored her third tally of the year from the right baseline.

Mansfield got on the scoreboard minutes after halftime to close the gap to 2-1. Later in the second half, Olivia Bair (Dover, Pa./Dover), from a Noll cross, converted her first goal of the year to wrap up the scoring and giving IUP the 3-1 victory.

IUP moves to 6-10 overall, while Mansfield drops to 0-16.

The Crimson Hawks play their last PSAC game of the season Wednesday against Mercyhurst. Play is set to begin at 4 p.m. at George P. Miller Stadium.
