CALIFORNIA, Pa. – Three Crimson Hawks finished in the top 10 individually to help the IUP men's cross country team finish third overall at the 2017 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships on Saturday morning.

Seniors
Greg Beaudette (Johnston, R.I./Bishop Hendricken),
Dalton Trump (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey), and
Austin Cooper (King of Prussia, Pa./Upper Merion) finished in fourth, ninth and 10th place, respectively, as IUP tallied 91 points as a team. Shippensburg won the title with 38 points and Edinboro finished second with 57 points.
Beaudette crossed the line with a time of 26:46.3 on the 8K course, 19 seconds behind individual champion Austin Pondel of Edinboro. Trump was less than a minute behind his teammate with a time of 27:16.7, and Cooper followed with a time of 27:19.4.
All three earned first team All-PSAC honors by virtue of their top 10 finishes.
Five more IUP runners finished in the top 50 overall, including
Noah Mandel (Erie, Pa./Harbor Creek) in 33rd at 28:30.7;
John Michael Mihalek (Coal Center, Pa./California Area) in 35th at 28:31.5;
Ryan Louther (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) in 46th at 28:46.7;
Michael Dautlick (Patton, Pa./Cambria Heights) in 47th at 28:48.2; and
Sam Lenze (Indiana, PA) in 48th at 28:48.4.

IUP is in action the next two weekends, sending runners to Lock Haven next Saturday for the eighth annual Go-Fast River Run, followed by the 2017 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championships on Nov. 4 in Lock Haven.
