INDIANA, Pa. –
Nicole Smith (Dover, PA/Dover) and
Colter Long (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg Area) each won three events, highlighting the IUP men's and women's swimming dual with Clarion on Saturday at the Pidgeon Natatorium.
RESULTS
Smith won the women's 100 and 200 yard freestyle, in addition to swimming the anchor leg on the winning 200 yard medley relay. Her 100 and 200 times were 54.03 and 1:57.22, respectively. The relay team of Smith,
Regan Chalk (Hanover, PA/New Oxford), Sarah Helton, and
Jessica Cochran (Herminie, Pa./Yough) combined for a time of 1:50.58.
Long touched the wall first in the 50 yard freestyle at 21.94 and the 100 yard butterfly in 52.44. He swam the second leg of the winning 200 yard medley relay, with
Sterling Tate (York, PA/Dallastown),
RJ Hammond (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville), and
Noah Brockway (York, PA/Dallastown) joining him for a time of 1:35.11.
Those were six of the eight total victories for the Crimson Hawks on Saturday, with Chalk winning the women's 100 yard butterfly in 1:01.65 while
Shane Hallett (Boiling Springs, Pa./Boiling Springs) won the men's 100 yard breaststroke in 59.90.

This was the last scheduled competitive meet for the Crimson Hawks until the two-day Pidgeon Memorial Invitational in February. IUP will host a time trial meet on Tuesday, Dec. 19.
