WHAT TO WATCH FOR
*A new face will be in the dugout this year, as IUP alum Anthony Rebyanski '06 takes the reigns of the Crimson Hawks; He comes back to IUP after coaching the pitchers at California (Pa.) the last two seasons, and was previously the Crimson Hawks' pitching coach from 2007-13
*IUP returns two of the top doubles hitters in the PSAC from last season in juniors Dan Sepic (York, Pa./Central York) and Cory Wheeler (Butler, Pa./Butler); Sepic had 17 while Wheeler roped 16, while six other returners combined for 76 doubles in 2016
*Sepic is the Crimson Hawks top returner from a year ago, earning All-Atlantic Region and All-PSAC West honors as a utility player; The infielder and pitcher hit .324 with a .554 slugging percentage and went 4-2 with four saves as a reliever
*Look for junior RHP Christian McClure (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) to get the ball in game one against Kutztown; Other pitchers looking to earn a start this weekend include junior RHP Mike Klingensmith (Punxsutawney, Pa./Punxsutawney), sophomore RHP Jeff Allen (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg Area), and sophomore RHP Colin Claus (Oakdale, Pa./West Allegheny)
