Cooper and Beaudette go 1-2 at Lehigh’s Paul Short Run on Friday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – IUP seniors Austin Cooper (King of Prussia, Pa./Upper Merion) and Greg Beaudette (Johnston, R.I./Bishop Hendricken) finished first and second, respectively, as the Crimson Hawks cross country teams competed in the 44th annual Paul Short Run on Friday at Lehigh University's Goodman Campus.

Cooper and Beaudette were the top finishers in the College Men's Brown race early in the afternoon, beating runners from Division I schools such as Siena, Richmond, George Washington and Virginia Commonwealth.

The duo helped the IUP men finish eighth overall among non-Division I teams. Cooper finished with a time of 24:35, which unofficially breaks the IUP men's cross country record for the fastest ever 8K time. Beaudette was right on his heels at 24:37. It was the third time in as many races this fall that the pair finished back-to-back.
