EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Second-ranked East Stroudsburg scored three second half goals as the IUP field hockey team dropped a 4-0 road decision to the Warriors Saturday afternoon.
East Stroudsburg had a 12-2 shot advantage, holding the Crimson Hawks without a shot until the final minutes. It was the third straight loss for IUP, which fell to 3-10 overall and 2-4 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).
The Warriors (11-2, 6-0 PSAC) opened the scoring in the 26th minute as the IUP defense limited ESU to just three shots up until that point, and four for the half.
ESU opened up its lead with three incremental goals in the second half, scoring in the 40th, 50th, and 56th minutes.
Brianna Lubarsky had both of IUP's shots, including one on goal. Goalie
Olivia Accardi saved two of ESU's six shots on goal.
