Horton posts sixth best vault in D-II, highlights IUP’s successful showing at Bucknell Tune-Up

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Junior pole vaulter DJ Horton (Kane, Pa./Kane Area) broke his own IUP record for the second time in the last three weekends as the Crimson Hawks indoor track & field teams competed at the Bucknell Tune-Up Friday night.

Horton cleared 5.07 meters (16-07.5), finishing first overall and eclipsing his old record of 5.03 meters he set on Jan. 27 at the SPIRE Midwest Open in Ohio.

Already a provisional qualifier for the NCAA Championships in Pittsburg, Kansas, Horton now has the sixth best vault in Division II this year.
